Pike County Rotary Spaghetti Dinner
At the Waverly High School Cafeteria, 4 - 7 p.m. Tickets on sale from any Rotary member, also a large Chinese Auction and a chance to win a 42" television. The proceeds from the event will support their service projects including scholarships for Pike County Students, the Rotary trophy presented at the Pike County basketball tournament, dictionaries for every third grader and thesauri for every fifth grader in the county, as well as toothbrushes for all students K-5 in the county. Bluegrass-Country Music Fundrasier
A bluegrass and country music concert will be held at the Pike County Senior Center, 402 Clough St., Waverly, on Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The concert will feature Gerald Evans and Friends, the Evans Brothers and Highway 54, Almost There, and Wade Breitenbach and Uptown Bluegrass. A $5 donation will be taken at the door, and concessions, including homemade chicken and noodles, perch/cod sandwiches, hot dogs, Sloppy Joes, and sandwich platters, will be sold separately. The Ohio River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross presents Dancing With Our Stars at the Friends Community Center, Portsmouth, Ohio. 6:00 p.m. Gourmet Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar, Red Tie Optional. 7:30 p.m. The Show Begins. You can also Vote for Your Favorite Dancer in the ARC’s Dancing With Our Stars. Donations Sought for Grrreat Annual Yard Sale
Pike Pet Pals, the only organization assisting the dogs housed at the Pike County Dog Pound, is seeking donations for their "Grrreat Annual Yard Sale" scheduled Saturday, April 6. They also seek donations from local businesses for a Chinese Auction. Items donated on behalf of your business may be in the form of merchandise, gift certificates, or gift baskets. Grrreat Annual Yard Sale
Pike Pet Pals, the only organization assisting the dogs housed at the Pike County Dog Pound will hold their "Grrreat Annual Yard Sale" from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at Bristol Village Activity Center in Waverly. This a great service to our community as Pike Pet Pals are able to assist people who are doing some “spring cleaning” and earn funds to help with the care of the dogs. All proceeds go towards the care of the dogs at the Pike County Dog Pound. Tax deductible monetary donations can be mailed to Pike Pet Pals, P.O. Box 1239, Waverly, OH 45690. Held at Pike Lake State Park on Pike Lake Road, Bainbridge, Ohio, this event recognizes the historic social and economic impact of railroads in Ohio. This annual event takes place in downtown Beaver, Ohio, and celebrates the German heritage of this southern Ohio village. There will be live entertainment.
